All We Can are delighted to announce that we have two new trustees joining the Board of All We Can this month – Atim Henshaw and Foday Sillah.
Foday has over fifteen years’ experience in strategic leadership, program design, and resource mobilisation. The wealth of his experience in human rights and leading programs on economic empowerment makes him a great fit for understanding the challenges our partners may be facing. In addition, Foday is based in Sierra Leone, one of our six priority countries, and this proximity to our partners and the communities they serve marks a continuation in our efforts to decolonise aid and shift decision making closer to the point of impact. He brings a strong commitment to inclusive development and our locally-led approach.
Atim is a senior leader in strategy, marketing communications, and fundraising, and will be bringing her extensive experience from across the charity sector to the Board of All We Can. Her background in church engagement will prove to be invaluable over the coming months as we look to deepen our relationships with Methodist stakeholders.
We’re delighted to have Foday and Atim on board, and looking forward to seeing how their unique perspectives can add value to how we focus our efforts. Of course, their arrival is only possible because of the departure of three long-standing Trustees; Hanna Ferguson, Jennifer Evans, and Rob Varley, and so we’d like to pay tribute to the outgoing trustees and thank them for their hard work and diligence over the past few years.
Chris Sutton, Chair of Trustees, said: ‘Atim and Foday were the outstanding candidates to join our Board among a very strong field of applicants. I am very much looking forward to their presence on the Board, and to the skills and fresh perspectives that they both bring.’
David Thomson, CEO, said: ‘I’m incredibly thankful for the work our trustees do ensuring we deliver on our mission through supporting and challenging us to be the best we can be. I’m excited to welcome Atim and Foday to the Board and know we will benefit from their skills, rich experience and diversity they bring. I know our board will be stronger for it.’
