Turkey-Syria Earthquake Emergency Appeal
At dawn on monday 6 february, a catastrophic earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck close to gaziantep in turkey
Thousands of structures collapsed in both southern Turkey and northwestern Syria. The seismic shock was followed by numerous strong aftershocks, and another quake of magnitude 7.5 hit the area nine hours later. According to reports, the disaster has claimed over 25,000 lives, with officials anticipating the death toll to increase in the coming days.
