100 km Uganda Challenge
Nawalat, a young girl in Butagaya, Uganda, covers 100km each week travelling to and from school. She used to walk the journey but now enjoys the freedom, speed and opportunities her bicycle brings her.
Will your club take on the 100km Uganda Challenge and support All We Can?
The aim is to cover the 100km in the quickest time. You could compete as individuals or in teams. It could be a relay event or built into one of your social rides with a café or pub at the end of it.
You may even want to challenge another Cycling Club to compete against you. Who can raise the most money and win the challenge?
For Nawalat, and communities like Butagaya, change begins with a bicycle. It is no longer simply a mode of transport. It brings safety on the journey to school and access to healthcare provision; it allows the whole family to have a means of getting produce to and from the markets; it brings opportunity.
As a member of a cycling club, you already know the joy of cycling. Could you help fundraise to share that joy with people living in some of the world’s poorest communities?
Are you taking part in a charity ride?
More than ever, the money you raise is a vital contribution to ensuring the work of All We Can continues. Choose All We Can as your chosen charity to raise money for. Get in touch to let us know which ride you are taking part in so we can support you and cheer you on.
Before I got the bike I used to spend two hours along the way before reaching school but now with the bike I use one hour to reach school.
