Over the Easter weekend, in an open letter, UK faith leaders called on the Prime Minister and Chancellor to keep the UK Government’s commitment to international aid. All We Can is proud to stand with faith leaders and other organisations across the UK who are calling on HM Treasury to prioritise UK Aid.
“As people of faith, our values compel us to speak out for the world’s most vulnerable people. We, representatives of different faith communities in the UK, have come together ahead of the Comprehensive Spending Review to urge you to maintain the aid budget and protect the quality of UK aid.”
The letter was signed by 27 faith leaders, including Revd Michaela A Youngson, President of the Methodist Conference. These leaders represent different faith communities from Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
