A Prayer for the Church CAN initiative

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the Church – that in all its messiness it is still the catalyst and sustainer of discipleship and worship, and a powerful driver of change and transformation. Thank you for the unique role that churches can play in communities. Help us to harness the potential of our churches to be agents of change.

We pray particularly for the Church CAN programme run by All We Can and the Global Relationships Team of the Methodist Church in Britain. May those facilitating the programme model partnership and integrity in all they do. May the churches involved realise afresh their capabilities and influence in their communities, and help them to be strong and sustainable advocates for justice in their contexts.

Holy Spirit, infuse all the discussions and collaborations that take place, and nudge all parties in the direction of your will.
