Head of Communications and Advocacy

Malusa joined All We Can in 2022 as the Head of Communications and Advocacy where she leads the communications team on all things brand, copy, advocacy and campaigns. Prior to joining All We Can, Malusa worked at strategic advisory firm, Africa Practice as a consultant. She led on communications for clients including British International Investment (FCDO), the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA) and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she focussed on delivering media relations campaigns to promote African investment and development.

Before joining Africa Practice, Malusa worked as a Campaign Manager for corporate consultancy firm, Seven Hills, where she led campaigns for the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office, Innovate Finance, the Business Growth Fund (BGF) and the GHR Foundation securing quality national and international media coverage. In this role, her mandates also focused on providing communications support and curating messaging on issues affecting young people for Mckinsey&Co Foundation’s ‘Generation’ the organisation transforming education to employment for young people across the world with a focus on Africa, the U.S and the U.K. She also offered strategic communications and media relations support to Young Enterprise and My Life My Say (the youth charity encouraging democracy).

Malusa has secured high-level media coverage in national and international outlets like the BBC, CNN, CNBC, Sky News, ITV News, The Times, The Telegraph, Fortune, The Independent and The Guardian to name a few.

Malusa started her career as a parliamentary and office assistant to former Labour MP, Chuka Umunna helping him to develop reports across Parliament on issues affecting young people in South London. As a child, she was a regular presenter on BBC’s Big Toe Radio Show.

Aside from English, she is fluent in French, Swahili, and Lingala; is a Lector at Sts Simon & Jude Catholic Church, is involved with refugee charity Compass Collective and is an avid Thespian having starred in the West End. She studied Politics, Philosophy & Economics at the University of Exeter.
