We respond in times of crisis, to humanitarian emergencies caused by natural disasters, conflict and political instability all over the world.

In humanitarian emergencies, we respond quickly to provide finances for immediate life-saving food and shelter, but also support affected communities over the long term. We support people to rebuild houses, services and livelihoods, to reconstruct their lives and protect themselves against future risks.

Responding through partners

In times of crisis, we work through local partner organisations, already rooted in communities, or the Methodist Church.

Where no such partner is active, we channel support through the international network ACT Alliance (Action by Churches Together). We also work in partnership with other international  NGOs that have long term partnerships with local organisations capable of responding

Focusing on forgotten emergencies

We focus particularly on forgotten emergencies – those situations that receive little media coverage or places that are no longer in the public eye despite ongoing difficulties.
