London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025

On April 6th 2025, Alice, Rach, Jack, Cameron and I will be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon to fundraise for All We Can.

As a friendship group, we have been getting more committed to running, and, when the opportunity presents itself, running together (despite us all living hundreds of miles away from each other). To continue with the progress we have made and to push ourselves further, we wanted to find a challenge we could do as a group. Running the London Landmarks to fundraise for All We Can seemed like the perfect opportunity.

All We Can’s vision is to see every person’s potential fulfilled. We see our potential being fulfilled when we challenge ourselves to try and do new and difficult things. For some of us, this is our first race and will be the furthest we have ever run. Being able to challenge ourselves in this way is incredibly exciting. We want other communities around the world to have the same opportunity to reach their potential and flourish.

Whether it is through providing adult literacy and vocational training in Liberia, or instigating tree planting programmes in Malawi, or gathering basket weavers in Zimbabwe, All We Can’s local partners are enabling communities to fulfil their potential in a variety of different ways. All We Can supports these partners to ensure that this incredible work happens.

We chose All We Can to fundraise for because we are passionate about the way that All We Can works in partnership with local communities. All We Can doesn’t impose or import solutions to communities, but instead supports and resources them as they find their own solutions. This distinction allows communities to fulfil their own potential and not be dependent on external input.

We have an ambitious goal of £2,500 to raise for All We Can. £2,500 could allow All We Can to provide support services for 30 children and their families who have experienced abuse or exploitation, to facilitate healing and resilience in Zimbabwe as well as provide new school uniforms for 100 children with disabilities in Ethiopia.
