All We Can was delighted to discover that Bina Silwal, Director of Koplia Nepal, was recently awarded ‘Woman of the Decade in Community Leadership’ by the Women’s Economic Forum. With All We Can’s support she attended a ceremony earlier this month in New Delhi, India to receive her award.
All We Can has worked with Kopila Nepal since 2003. Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but it is also one of the poorest. For many Nepalese women and girls, marginalisation, oppression, and even violence is a daily reality, but through the vision and determination of All We Can’s talented local partner Kopila Nepal, things are changing for the better. Bina Silwal has been recognised for her leadership in this important field. All We Can’s Programmes Director, Angela Zamaere, said, “We are proud to be associated with Bina and all she has achieved. She has worked tirelessly to bring about change for marginalised women and over the years has achieved so much in the communities Kopila works in. A well deserved award and huge congratulations to Bina and her team”.
