The organisation is transforming the lives of thousands in local communities to improve adult literacy and upskill individuals.

SHIFSD is a humanitarian organisation started by a group of dedicated Liberian refugees at the Buduburam Refugee Camp, Ghana, in 2000. By 2008, the organisation returned home to Liberia and continued to pursue its aims and aspirations of helping communities to help themselves through individual and collective initiatives.
