Rural Human Rights Activists Programme (RHRAP)
Founded in 1997, RHRAP promotes and educates communities on human rights, rule of law and civic opportunity. It provides legal representation for prolonged pretrial detainees, livelihood skills training for youth and prison inmates, and supports communities to hold the justice sector accountable. It also engages national government and mining companies so local people benefit from natural resources extracted from their communities.
