The Ethiopia Partner-to-Partner (P2P) Learning and Organisational Development (OD) Workshop was held from 27 April to 1 May 2026 in Adama.
The workshop brought together three Ethiopian partner organisations (ADHENO, AHRRA, and HPDO) and All We Can to strengthen peer learning, collaboration, and organisational development.
The workshop combined structured OD sessions with peer-to-peer learning and experience sharing. A key focus was strengthening organisational resilience through the development of Resilience Milestones, alongside deeper reflection on organisational systems, governance, and sustainability.
‘The OD workshops are very useful as they allow us to see clearly what stage our organisation is in and invite us to think about how we can do our best going forward to think about our own sustainability. This is a very useful workshop as it helps us to strengthen our capacity as an organisation.’ Selomei Hailu, Admin and Finance Head of Adheno
In Ethiopia, All We Can partners are implementing diverse community development initiatives, each bringing unique experiences, strengths, and contextual knowledge. However, structured opportunities for peer learning, collaboration, and joint reflection among partners have previously been limited.
‘The most important thing to me is that the Ethiopian partners use this time together to share our experiences. We can get to know each other and establish a relationship that enables us to work together in the future. For this purpose, we’re able to learn from each other and all of our expertise.’ Abebe Yehualawork, Executive Director of HPDO.
Overall, the workshop was highly successful, with participants rating it very highly (majority scoring 8–10/10). It strengthened relationships among partners, deepened understanding of OD frameworks, and generated concrete commitments for collaboration, including the intention to form a formal consortium.
‘We have been a partner with All We Can for a couple of years, and these Partner to Partner workshops have been very interesting in two lanes. One, it has been an eye-opening process, and two, it encouraged systematic thinking. It has been eye-opening as it has helped us to consider what we already have that we may not have previously focused on. It encouraged systematic thinking because while we have previously had knowledge, this has felt scattered, by using tools like the Organisational Development framework, we have been able to put our scattered knowledge into context.’ Yonathan Fikre, Executive Director of ADHENO
These workshops were facilitated by All We Can’s Country Representative Lead and Organisational Development Lead, Mwesigye Kwarimpa-atim, and Ethiopia’s Country Representative, Ayele Ashagre. The importance of the Country Representatives cannot be understated; they work diligently to enable our partnership with partners is both strong and valuable.
‘I also appreciate All We Can’s Country Representative, Ayele Ashagre, he’s an accountable support to us and has been from the very beginning! We hope he will continue his support.’ Selomei Hailu, Admin and Finance Head of Adheno
The conclusion of the workshop and the feedback given indicate that our partners have a strong interest in continuing to collaborate with one another. They want to continue to strengthen partner to partner relationships so that they can continue to grow and develop together.
